On December 12, 2017, the seminar on standards and applications of fast charging technology of Taier forum 2017, sponsored by Taier terminal Laboratory of China Academy of information and communication, was successfully held in our valley of Guangda, Songshan Lake, Dongguan.
The conference defined the fast charging mode: a charging system composed of adapter, cable and terminal. From the initial charging state to charging for 30 minutes, the average current entering the battery is greater than or equal to 3A or the total charging amount is greater than or equal to 60% of the rated capacity of the battery. Common charging mode: the rated output voltage of the adapter is 5V, and the rated output current is less than or equal to 3a. In this mode, the output port D + and D - of the adapter are short circuited.
The conference announced that there are five kinds of agreements, including a, B, C, D and E. two kinds of agreements are free of charge, and three kinds of fair and non discriminatory authorization. Protocol a is the QC protocol of Qualcomm, protocol B is the hypercharge protocol of Huawei, protocol C is the USB PD protocol, protocol D is the MTK protocol, and protocol e is the vooc flash charging protocol.
Although China's fast charging standard has been published, the implementation needs to define test scenarios and cases, build a system test platform, and the protocols supported in the future will also depend on the market situation.
